The folks at West Acres gave me a brief update today on the highly anticipated opening of Forever 21.

Right now, the tenative grand opening date is Saturday, Oct. 16, though this is a moving target, said Alissa Sorum, West Acres marketing director.

The trendy clothing and accessories store will move into a 20,000 square foot space that formerly housed Walgreens, Tradehome Shoes and Maps, Travel and More. The largest store to open in West Acres since J.C. Penney in 1979, the store will carry Forever 21’s women’s clothing, accessories, swimwear, lingerie and shoes as well as the Heritage 1981, 21MEN and Love 21 brands.
